Newcastle vs Arsenal 0-1 Match Review – Arsenal Claim Fourth!

Through a 52nd minute volley from defender Laurent Koscielny, Arsenal have beaten Newcastle 0-1 and claimed the crucial fourth place which ensures Champions League football next season. On the other side of London Tottenham did the job through a Gareth Bale wonder-strike, however with Arsenal claiming all three points, the win meant nothing. Chelsea also beat Everton 2-1 to claim third, although early in the claim their place in the top 3 languished as most of the game was a draw, until a Torres strike late.

Many people criticised Arsenal for celebrating after their win as if they had won the title. In all honesty, it was great to see. The team has gone through so much this year, losing two great players, yet they’ve come through it with 1 loss in the past 16 matches, beating Bayern Munich 2-0 in Germany, having the best defensive partnership in Mertesacker and Koscielny and scoring more goals this season than the previous two, without the likes of Clichy, Nasri, Fabregas and RVP. Fabulous effort.

Arsene Wenger has now set his sights firmly on the transfer market, where he looks to get the business done early. Higuain is a strong name being thrown around, also Jovetic and a few Italian right backs (as Sagna looks to leave for PSG). With the Emirates ultimately being paid off, Arsene Wenger has many to spend, lots of it.

Below is my final match review of the season, I hope you’ve enjoyed all of the videos I’ve made throughout the season and I look forward to your support next season 🙂

Match Review – Bayern Munich vs Arsenal 0-2

Arsenal travelled to Germany aiming to somehow come back from a 3-1 deficit that was set at the Emirates only a few weeks ago. Bayern Munich had not lost in their previous 29 matches across all competitions, so it didn’t look likely that it was going to end, especially considering the likes of Jack Wilshere, Lukas Podolski and Bacary Sagna were missing from the Gunners lineup. BUT, we were wrong (yes you, as if you thought we’d win!). Once again Arsenal pull something out of the bag, to almost push them into the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Champions League. All they needed was one more goal, just one. It eluded them.

Below is my review, I hope you enjoy it 🙂
